Well to start off this week we had interviews with our mission president on Tuesday, then we had trade-offs with the Zone leaders. While we were on trade-offs Elder Anderson and Elder Pancheri went and helped a member in Lansing with their horses. Long story short when we met back up that evening Elder Anderson had a sprained ankle and all kinds of scratches and bruises. Elder Pancheri had rope burns all over his hands he also had all kinds of scratches bumps. Those poor two have been off the farm too long. The good thing though was Elder Anderson's sprained ankle only took 3 days to heal to the point where he could walk on it again, but it sure did turn some fun colors!
On Friday we were crazy busy! We started out on the far left side of our area and we taught a really nice lady by the name of Denise. Following that we drove to the far right side of our area a half hour away were we taught Mark who is a Sunday school teacher for another church. He was actually pretty genuine and liked the concept of having a modern day prophet! We had dinner after that at A&W and got their root beer floats. They were really good. I would recommend them. Our food took forever so we only had 5 minutes to eat before we needed to leave for a lesson. The lesson was with a less active family we have been working with! That has definitely been the busiest I have been on my mission so far and I liked it!
On Saturday we had a lesson with Allen. We showed up and asked him if he had read the Restoration pamphlet and he hadn't because he had a busy week. We decided for the lesson we were going to read the Restoration pamphlet so we did. Keep in mind Allen is a classic Michigander talker and in between each page, we read he would talk for about 10-20 minutes. Long story short we were there for 2 hours, but we shared the restoration and he said that he wishes all the other churches could hear about the restoration! Before we left we asked him if he would read the introduction of the Book of Mormon and he said he already had. We were a little confused then he held up his Book of Mormon and his bookmark was a good chunk of the way in. Probably in 2 Nephi if I had to guess! He then said he was thinking about coming to Church. And sure enough, when Sunday rolled around, Allen walked in the doors of the church! Allen has been the first non-member we have been blessed to get to church since I have been here in Holt!
