Well, it was a good week. We had a good amount going on. On Saturday we went to the Lamb of God concert in Kalamazoo and it was amazing. They did a way better job here than they did in Midland. The concert hall was amazing too. It felt like the 1800s in there. Before the concert, we stopped off at McDonalds for dinner and it was two blocks away from the ghetto and it was kinda crazy. You had to get someone at the cash register to let you into the bathroom. Definitely a different experience for a Utah boy.
Besides that, we got two of our friends to a member's home for dinner last night. Bro Knighton made bacon wrapped sirloin steak and let me tell you it was good. I hope he invites us back for some more of that soon. Besides that [our friends] really enjoyed dinner and the members and it went super well. We are hoping to get a teaching appointment set up and get them to church on Sunday!
Besides all that, we were out doing some door knocking this week and we were talking to this really nice guy and he wasn't interested but right before we left he said, "do you guys want a ham?" So my companion and I looked at each other confused then said, "yes!" So we have a ham to cook up. We were hoping at the next door we would get some rolls, but we didn't have such luck!

Cow Tongue
Well on about Tuesday of this week we went to a family by the name of the Walks for dinner. Elder Stolp told me that they make some kinda crazy food sometimes but that it all tastes really good. He was right. We showed up and we had cow tongue. It was actually really good. It just tasted like beef with a little different texture. Honestly, if they hadn't said anything I would have just thought it was carne asada. The Walks have a super nice young family. I'm excited to eat there more often. I hear that she makes really good cow heart but we will see!
Besides that, on Friday we were weekly planning and we were trying to set up some teaching appointments this week. One of the people we texted responded and said he had 15 minutes so we ran out the door and gave him a quick 15-minute lesson on the restoration and it was really cool because he said he was baptized as a baby but he thought that was crazy because he didn't get to choose to be baptized. Long story short, he said he would like to get baptized and he said he would like his whole family to get baptized That is about as exciting as it gets! It will probably take some time but he has some pretty good potential.

I'm in Holt!
Well, sorry about not emailing last P-day. We had a crazy day. We had to drive all the way to Saginaw and back to drop a missionary off and then we ended [up in a] trio this last week and we ran 2 areas, Oscoda and West Branch. But it made for quite the adventure. We spent all day Wednesday in Oscoda having dinner and we got our car stuck twice.
On Friday we got our transfer calls and I am now in Holt Michigan a suburb of Lansing and it is so incredibly warm. It is 40 degrees!!!! And there is not 2 ft of snow on the ground but I am still going to miss West Branch and all the members. The other crazy thing is I'm in a ward now and I can't remember what a ward is like. It's been 6 months since I have seen more than 30 people at church. One more fun fact about my new area is that we are the assigned ASL missionaries of the Lansing stake so I may be learning a little bit of sign language before I leave Holt!
Besides all of that we went to the Lamb of God. It was really cool. I have never been to that before. It was also a little bit different which was nice. It was kinda crazy though because we got special permission to go to this we just had to get a ride with a member and be in the apartment no later than 10:30. We were just on the edge and we pulled up to the apartment at 10:27 so we cut it a little close!

Crazy Wind
Not to much happened this week. We had some crazy wind yesterday. It knocked over the Dairy Queen sign here in town and a lot of the houses here are missing siding. Besides that we did service at a thrift store on Saturday called St. Vincent. It was really fun. We sorted through clothes that people had donated. We also got to talk to a lot of the people working back there, which was cool. The best part of it was that we got fed pizza after we finished up so that is a major perk of doing service at St. Vinnies!
Besides that we spent a bunch of time down in south in Standish working because we have a bunch of extra miles. It was kinda nice to get to see some new scenery outside of West Branch for a little bit. But besides that we went snow showing for P-Day last pday. That was really fun to get out and get some fresh air. The best part was that is was 25 degrees, sunny, and no wind so it was supper warm out in my opinion. So we had a good time doing that but I don't think we will do that today because it is 13 degrees out with a -11 wind chill, today so I'll pass
