Too Cold To Be Alive!

On Wednesday we were in Saginaw for trade-offs and zone conference.  Both mornings we woke up to freezing rain.  It's honestly worse than a foot of snow because everything is iced over and you have zero traction, which is always quite the adventure.  The plus was that it was in the high 20's which felt amazing after it had been in the teens in West Branch!

While we were in Saginaw for trade-offs I saw a hobby shop and I talked Elder Duffin into going in and looking around.  It was a really lame hobby shop but I got to talk to the store clerk and he knew all about miny quad racing.  It was really fun talking to him.  I realized after talking to that I had forgotten so much about drones.  I couldn't remember the most basic things.  It reminded me that it has been 4 and a half months since I have done any of that stuff, but I gave the store clerk a pass along card and we went on our way!

On Friday we had to "car fast" because we were starting to run pretty low on miles and we still have to do quite a bit of driving before the end of the month. The good thing was that it was only the 3rd coldest day of the year so far, so we didn't freeze to death.  On Sunday we woke up to -2 and apparently it was too cold to go to church.  Don't ask me why they decided that.  The only thing we had to do on Sunday was to door knock so we went out door knocking in 1-3 degree weather.  By the time we were done, I had ice crystals on my eyelashes from my breath.
